The flagship event had not been produced since 2017. When we were granted the license in 2020, we had to recreate an online presence. Our first event in November 2020 attracted 100+ virtual attendees during COVID.
A year later in November 2021, we sold 120+ tickets (because we weren’t allowed to sell more) in less than 48 hours.
In 2022, the event in Ruby Hall at Common House sold out in a short span of two weeks.
In 2023, we tested and initiated a new concept, Sessions, which also was a sellout event at Barking Legs Theater. We also sold out the flagship event which was held at Barrelhouse Ballroom (230 tickets).
In 2024, we will produce Sessions and the flagship event again; in addition to two new events that highlight other important cultural areas of significance in Chattanooga.
Through all TEDxChattanooga events, we promise to continue to showcase a diverse lineup of passionate local speakers and artists.
And, it isn’t just about the in-person events. Our Instagram presence is growing everyday organically - it is stronger than ever. And as most sponsorships go, that along with the events themselves are where you will get your exposure.
TEDxChattanooga has come a long way from no real budget and pure passion, but now we are looking for financial support. Your generous contribution will help us extend our mission and our stay relevant in and focused on the community.
